(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus announces the arrival at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida this weekend, of its Airbus BelugaST (A300-600ST), to deliver the Hotbird 13G satellite built by the aircraft manufacturer for Eutelsat .
Together with its twin Hotbird 13F, which was launched by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket late last week, they are the first members of Airbus’ new family of ‘Eurostar Neo’ communications satellites.
Once they have reached their orbital position, these two satellites will be able to broadcast more than 1000 television channels in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, replacing three Eutelsat satellites currently in orbit.
