Airbus: first A 321neo delivered to Korean Air

(CercleFinance.com) – Korean Air has become a new operator of the A320 family, following the recent delivery of the first of 30 aircraft ordered by Airbus.

Korean Air’s A321neo is equipped with Airbus’ new Airspace cabin, which brings the characteristics of high-end wide-body aircraft to the single-aisle market.

Korean Air’s A321neo aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The A321neo delivers a 25% reduction in fuel burn and emissions per seat compared to previous-generation competitor aircraft.

This enables Korean Air to benefit from increased efficiency and to be able to achieve its sustainability goals, while reducing operating costs.

For its A321neo fleet, Korean Air has opted for a comfortable two-class layout, with eight flat seats in business class and 174 in economy class.

By the end of October 2022, the A320neo Family had received over 8,500 orders from over 130 customers worldwide.
