(Boursier.com) — Turkish Airlines formalizes its huge order forAirbus. The Turkish national airline has signed an agreement for the firm purchase of 230 aircraft with options for dozens more. In a regulatory document, Turkish Airlines specifies that it will acquire 150 A321neo, with purchase rights for 100 additional, 60 A350-900 with 20 optional, and 15 A350-1000. On the cargo side, the carrier will offer 5 A350Fs with 5 additional optional aircraft.
Turkey has said publicly for months that it wants to place a large order with the aim of nearly doubling its fleet to around 800 planes over the next decade.
