Le Late with Alain Chabat will be broadcast for two weeks on TF1, starting Monday, November 21, 2022. The last show will be broadcast on Friday, December 2. Alain Chabat was revealed to the general public by his presence within the group of comedians Les Nuls, having raged on Canal+ from 1987. Les Nuls was born from the meeting, in the early 1980s, of Bruno Carette and Chantal Lauby. Together, they participate in a parody program on France 3 Provence-Alpes. They are spotted there by Alain de Greef, director of programs at Canal+, who brings them to the encrypted channel. It was Alain de Greef who had the idea of associating Bruno Carette and Chantal Lauby with another duo of authors already present at Canal+, Alain Chabat and Dominique Farrugia. The newly created quartet embarks on a first project. Objectif Nul is a series parodying the exploration of space, which will ultimately give its name to the group of comedians, who then moved to Nowhere Elsewhere, the channel’s flagship event, with the JTN (Journal Télévisé Bad). After the death of Bruno Carette in 1989, Les Nuls, the show allowed them to get a show of their own, in prime time, between 1990 and 1992. this frantic pace pushed them to want to breathe. So they stop television in 1992 to get down to writing a film, The City of Fear, on the screens in 1994 and today considered cult. Alain Chabat, Chantal Lauby and Dominique Farrugia, who have remained close, are now each following their own path.
Alain Chabat and Asterix
After realizing in 2002 Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, great success at the cinema, Alain Chabat continues his story with the famous comic book hero. He has indeed worked on an adaptation of Combat des Chefs, an album released in 1966, for a Netflix animated series whose broadcast date has yet to be determined.
