Mathias Moncorgé has made astonishing revelations concerning tense relations between his father, Jean Gabin, and Alain Delon. For the son of the deceased actor, Alain Delon is responsible for the quarrel between his parents.
Sunday May 22 at 9:10 p.m., viewers will be able to (re)discover Rififi in Panama, one of the classics of French cinema, in which we can see Jean Gabin. On this occasion, Mathias Moncorgé gave an interview to Téléstar.

In the columns of the magazine, the son of the iconic actor spoke of a falling out between Jean Gabin and Alain Delonduring the filming of Clan of the Sicilians. Mathias Moncorgé even accused the 86-year-old actor of having spoiled the filming, then caused the cancellation of a very important birthday for Jean Gabin and his wife: “My parents were to celebrate their 20th anniversary of marriage and Alain Delon had to fuck his sh*t”he said of the actor who asked his son Anthony to help him die.
Mathias Moncorgé continued his explanation, and affirms that at the time of filming, it was Alain Delon’s ego that had added fuel to the fire between the two men: “He wanted his name to be first on the poster and that pissed off dad, who was no longer in a party mood”continued the son of Jean Gabin.
Jean Gabin defended by Lino Ventura, who threatened Alain Delon
This eccentric demand from Alain Delon had annoyed Jean Gabin, but also other figures of French cinema, who were part of the cast: “Lino Ventura, who adored my father, found out about it and came to Rome when he wasn’t filming there. He went to see Alain Delon and threatened to give him one if he continued his whims”reported Mathias Moncorgé.
It would seem that this pressure from Lino Ventura was enough to set the record straight, if we are to believe the reaction of Alain Delon, who ended up “to crash” : “He got his name on the same level as the other actors”said Mathias Moncorgé.
