Around two months after his plane crash, Christian Oliver was farewelled in his homeland. His widow shared a photo.
On the day that would have been his 52nd birthday and around two months after the tragic plane crash in the Caribbean in which his two daughters also died, the “Alarm for Cobra 11” star is Christian Oliver (1972-2024) was farewelled with a memorial service in his German homeland. His widow and mother of their two daughters, Jessica Klepser, 49, shared on Instagram now a moving photo from the church.
She was “really grateful” to the people who were there, Klepser wrote about a photo that shows candles draped on an altar and two large bouquets of flowers as well as a photo of the late Christian Oliver with the twelve and ten year old daughters Madita and Annik . “And those who were with us in spirit, especially: Miss Maditz, Miss Anniki and birthday boy Christian Oliver,” continued Klepser. She added the hashtag #keepdancing. According to the post, the funeral service took place on March 3rd in Frankfurt am Main.
Christian Oliver, who had lived in Los Angeles with his family for many years, was returning from a Caribbean vacation with his daughters on January 4, 2024, when the small plane crashed on the way from the island of Bequia to St. Lucia.
Known for “Alarm for Cobra 11”
Oliver gained fame in Germany primarily through his role in the action series “Alarm für Cobra 11 – The Autobahn Police”. He played Chief Inspector Jan Richter alongside “Cobra 11” veteran Erdogan Atalay, 57, from 2002 to 2004.
Oliver also celebrated international success in front of the camera. For example, he appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s, 61, thriller “The Good German – In the Ruins of Berlin” alongside Oscar winners Cate Blanchett, 54, and George Clooney, 62, as well as in “Operation Walküre – Das Stauffenberg- Assassination” with Tom Cruise, 61.
