“Alas…”: Pascal Praud absent from CNews, he comes out of silence


A start to the week marked by an important change for the faithful of Time for the pros on CNews. This Monday, November 27, viewers have not found Pascal Praud on air at 9:00 a.m. The 59-year-old journalist was replaced at short notice by Laurence Ferrari who explained the reason for his colleague’s absence: “Today, friend Pascal Praud is unwell, So it’s me who will try, perhaps try in vain, to replace him today, in this beautiful show.”. The ex-partner of Thomas Hugues had also taken control of his show on Europe 1, then renamed Laurence Ferrari and youbetween 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Pascal Praud was also not present between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., on CNews, replaced by Eliot Deval. The latter was still on the air this Tuesday, November 28, at 9 a.m., on the continuous news channel. The usual presenter of L’heure des pros then came out of his silence, on X, at the very beginning of the morning. “The flu is here! Alas!”he publicly regretted, noting all the same that “its effects are diminishing”. Pascal Praud ended his message with thanks “for get well soon messages” received.

Pascal Praud moved on the air of CNews

The absence of Pascal Praud comes a few days after an emotional moment experienced by the journalist on the CNews set. He couldn’t hold back his tears faced with the broadcast of images of the funeral of Thomas, 16, killed during a village festival which took place in Crépol, in Drôme. The journalist and presenter had a hard time getting back on track with his show: “Forgive us, but for me, it’s the first time that…” And to continue, with a tight throat: “We had planned other topics in this last half hour, but I think it’s quite complicated to talk about things other than what we are currently seeing on the air…”.TO READ
