Aldi offers a folding e-bike: the discounter deal is so good

Aldi’s online shop has new e-bikes on offer again. Among other things, the discounter offers a compact folding bike from Sachsenrad that is supposedly cheap.

The pedelec has 20-inch wide tires (4 inches), a 7-speed Shimano derailleur and disc brakes. The rear motor supports you up to 25 km/h, the battery integrated in the frame offers a capacity of 374.4 watt hours. According to the manufacturer, this is sufficient for a range of up to 80 kilometers – depending on driving style.

The e-bike has a luggage rack, mudguards and lighting. It is suitable for people between 1.55 and 1.90 meters tall. The permitted total weight is 130 kilograms.

The folding bike itself weighs 23 kilograms. When assembled it measures 148 x 30 x 75 centimetres, folded 90 x 80 x 50 centimeters. Overall, the e-bike is quite simply equipped. For small tours, for example on vacation, the equipment is okay. However, Aldi is currently not giving you the best price. If you order from Netto, you save another 50 euros.
