After the drama on the “Rust” set, more and more details seep through. Alec Baldwin received a loaded gun from an assistant director.

More and more details about the tragic accident on the set of “Rust” are gradually trickling through. As now, among other things, the US portal “TMZ” reports, Alec Baldwin (63) got the gun from an assistant director just before the fatal accident. This was accidentally loaded with a live cartridge. That emerges from an arrest warrant from the Mexican authorities.

According to this, an assistant director handed over the revolver to the main actor Baldwin and told him that he could use it safely. This employee also did not know that the weapon was loaded with live ammunition. Whoever did this in advance does not appear from the arrest warrant and is now the subject of the investigation. Hannah Reed had been hired as the responsible weapons expert on site. Reed is the daughter of the well-known Hollywood outfitter Thell Reed, who has been responsible for providing the weapons used in countless productions for decades.

Halyna Hutchins was hit in the chest

Further details on the actual course of the accident also became public through the official documents. Baldwin’s bloodstained costume, along with other props, weapons and ammunition, was confiscated by the police. According to the documents, the killed Halyna Hutchins (1979-2021) was also not hit in the stomach, but at the level of the chest. Director Joel Souza (48) stood behind her and was wounded as a result.
