Alex Hugo: how Angelo (Lionnel Astier) will leave the soap opera?

In May 2021, Lionel Astier announced in the pages of Télé Loisirs his upcoming departure from the Alex Hugo series, in which he has played the police officer Angelo Batalla since 2014. Now it remains to be seen when and how…

Fans were flabbergasted when they learned of the upcoming departure of Lionel Astier from the detective soap opera Alex Hugo. It must be said that the actor forms a flagship duo with his teammate in the series, played by Samuel Le Bihan and that his departure risks leaving a big void. Let the fans be reassured, however, Angelo Batalla still has a bright future ahead of him in the series, according to the words of Delphine Wautier, the program’s producer. According to her, we will see Lionel Astier “one more moment“since the actor, present in the new opus launched this Tuesday evening, will be back for another three new parts whose filming is scheduled for June, July and September. The final opus, entitled The Last Track, should be released in 2023, and it will mark the departure of Angelo Batalla. However, Lionel Astier could not completely leave the landscape of Alex Hugo, since as he confided last August, he could “continue to intervene in the series, but in a much more limited way”. An idea shared by Delphine Wautier, who indicated in the pages of Télé Loisirs: “We will make an end that can allow him to come back punctually..

Alex Hugo: this other character who will leave the series

Lionnel Astier, alias Angelo Batalla, is not the only one setting sail. On January 13, Marilyne Canto, who plays curator Christine Dorval since 2016, announced in turn that she was preparing to leave the series. Like her colleague, the actress will not immediately disappear from the France 3 program.
