Cold Iron Studios has just announced new content for Aliens: Fireteam Elite, allowing cooperative TPS players to enjoy new things, through a free update, but also through paid DLC.
Let’s start with the extension, named Pathogen. This will offer new campaign missions, requiring the crew of the Endeavor to venture into uncharted lands to face new enemies. Eight new weapons, two for each category, will be integrated, but also accessories and skins. Here is the detailed content of this extension:
- 3 new campaign missions
- 8 new weapons, 2 for each type
- 1 bonus for each class kit, modifying the main ability of the player
- 26 new weapon attachments that alter stats and grant special abilities
- 2 new outfits (for all 7 class kits) and 6 head accessories for your Marines
- 21 new weapon paints and 9 weapon stickers
- 10 new emotes
Everything will be available on August 30, 2022, on all platforms where Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available. This is a paid extension.
However, the developers also clarified that a free update will be available for everyone. A new Hardcore mode will be implemented, while cross-play will also be deployed, to allow all players to start a game together.
