It was in August 2023 that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the British Army by her father-in-law, King Charles III. A position she honored by visiting Robertson Barracks in Norfolk on November 8 and sporting military style to perfection.
Kate Middleton is not only a ceremonial princess, very present within the royal monarchy of England, the mother of Georges, Louis and Charlotte occupies different positions for which she fulfills numerous missions. After being appointed colonel of the Irish Guards last March, a position held until then by her husband, Prince William, King Charles III handed her new military responsibilities last August.
The Princess of Wales then obtained three new distinctions: Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm (naval aeronautics), Colonel-in-Chief of the 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards (cavalry regiment of the British army) and finally Honorary Air Commodore of the Royal Air Force Coningsby (air branch of the army). New titles for which Kate Middleton is committed body and soul. Indeed, this Wednesday November 8 we were able to see the wife of Prince William in camouflage outfit, helmet screwed on her head and protective boots on her feet visiting a regiment from the Robertson barracks of the 1st Queen’s Dragoon Guards in Norfolk while her husband is in Singapore.
