According to The Information, Disney+ is preparing to launch linear streaming channels such as Pluto TV. There is a separate channel for each area of ​​interest; the “Star Wars” channel, for example, shows a mix of films and series. If you don’t want to choose yourself, you will be served a program in the classic TV way.

This may seem retrograde at first, but it also has advantages. In this way, streaming titles that usually disappear shortly after publication could be given a second chance and more attention. The first “Star Trek” series only became a success as repeats, and perhaps the channels will also change the fate of streaming series that were canceled too early.
