(Boursier.com) — Allianz Commercial appoints Claudia Valencia as Global Director of Portfolio Solutions effective January 8, 2024. Ms. Valencia will be based in London and will report jointly to Shanil Williams, Director of Underwriting, and Jeremy Sharpe, Global Director of Distribution. In this newly created role, she will drive the global strategy for portfolio solutions, which include panels, facilities, underwriting agencies (MGAs) and bancassurance, as well as other forms of delegated authority.

Claudia Valencia previously worked at AIG in New York as Latin America Regional Director of Client and Broker Relations. During her career, she has held various international underwriting and commercial relations roles, including at AIG, Zurich and other leading insurers, in London, Miami, New York and Colombia.
