(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission announces that it has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of sole control of Intelsat Holdings by Allianz SE.
Intelsat Holding operates satellite and terrestrial networks as well as connectivity infrastructure to provide diversified communication services for telecommunications operators, media companies and Internet service providers.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns given the absence of horizontal overlaps or vertical relationships between the companies’ activities.
