Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) strengthens its capabilities

(Boursier.com) — Allianz intends to significantly expand its business with customers of international insurance programs to meet the growing demand from large and medium-sized companies that need international coverage. Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), the Allianz Group’s global industrial risk insurer, is strengthening its capabilities, including with a new sales team and specific investments in data and technology, and will expand its customer services.

To support its multinational clients, AGCS has transferred this responsibility, within the board of directors, to the Regions and Markets team, led by Henning Haagen, which oversees commercial activities, including distribution. The new organization also includes the strengthening of the global team and the development of regional responsibilities. Guy Money, current Director of Products, has been appointed Global Director of Multinationals for AGCS.

The specialized Captive Solutions team, led by Brian McNamara, will be integrated into the Multinationals business to offer clients a wide range of services, from classic international multiline programs to captive fronting and reinsurance, including combinations hybrids of traditional and alternative risk transfer.

Other key appointments within the AGCS Multinationals business include Jayesh Patel, Head of the Multinational Market Practices Team. Assisted by his regional representatives, he will work closely with the global and regional distribution teams to lead the development of the activity in the target markets. Karol Dobias remains responsible for the Business Excellence unit, in charge of international standards, performance monitoring and steering. Melanie Windirsch, Director of the Network Management team, is responsible for local services in all network countries. Finally, Nigel Leppitt will lead the Multinationals business transformation program.
