AlloCiné viewers recommend you: this Netflix legal series that you will binge-watch in a weekend

AlloCiné viewers are fans of this legal series which made its big comeback on Netflix on July 6th.

If you were already subscribed to Netflix last year, you surely did not miss the series La Défense Lincoln. This adaptation of Michael Connelly’s novels – which has already had a film version – was the unexpected hit last summer. And she’s been back since July 6 on the platform with a season 2 that has been cut into two parts.

The success is already there since the series is currently third in the top Netflix behind Fatal Seduction and The Witcher. But this is also confirmed on AlloCiné where La Défense Lincoln is 1st in the top series of the week.

With a more than honorable rating of 3.9/5, still according to our users, the legal series is one of Netflix’s best series. She is praised for her effective script, suspense and cast, as evidenced by these comments visible on the AlloCiné page:

“Finally another series on the universe of Connelly, great thriller novelist taking place on the west coast of the United States. A good story in common thread and a good suspense for the actors of the series. To discover for lovers of judicial series and others… Good series to you.” (Lionel33000)

“Police and legal series with passes of arms and sleeve effect in court as you suspected! But it’s very well done and addictive with a thread that’s not bad at all. A “crew” in his firm who is cosmopolitan and efficient.

The actors are excellent, led by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the role of Mickey Haller, the lawyer who returns to business (a little side “Lucifer” in style….) and Neve Campbell (survivor of Scream).

You can easily watch it in 55-minute episodes with twists and turns, I recommend that you don’t miss this excellent one (for once).” (Jean N.)

“Having seen the film with Matthew McConaughey, I wanted to see the series and well, I’m not disappointed at all, on the contrary. The series keeps you in suspense from start to finish (I watched it in one go) . Both the series and the film are based on a novel by Michael Connelly. I recommend to anyone who likes thrillers, this one is a pure delight.” (Patricia T.)

“Very good series, if you like court scenes. The characters are excellent, this very good lawyer slowed down in his career due to injury and coming out of addiction after a cure will find himself revived thanks to the legacy of a law firm lawyer in the owner was executed.

And there the story begins, single and in the company of his two exes and his daughter, his investigators, driver make a very welded, faithful and loving core where he ended up attaching himself to the series. (Louis C)

The legal series are still on the rise

The success of La Défense Lincoln was not really expected when Netflix released the first season last summer. And yet, the series brings together everything that subscribers love: the thriller genre, a main hero who succeeds almost every time, an exciting red thread and reversals galore.

Season 1, consisting of 10 50-minute episodes, focuses primarily on a case that follows a celebrity (Christopher Graham) accused of murdering his wife and lover.

The second is interested in a new murder, that of a crooked builder. This format with a red thread keeps the spectators energized until the last episode and the revelation of the murderer.

La Défense Lincoln would not be what it is without its rather amazing cast, with actors from different backgrounds: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo – seen in The Magnificent 7 and Murder on the Orient-Express – had already worked with Netflix on 6 Underground.

He replies to Neve Campbell (Scream), Becki Newton (Ugly Betty) and Angus Sampson (Nightflyers). Season 2 welcomes the brilliant Lana Parrilla (OUAT) to its ranks.

Netflix released the first 5 episodes of season 2 last week and will add the following on August 3. Like AlloCiné spectators, you will become addicted.
