Released last June, the fighting game Street Fighter 6 has exceeded 3 million copies sold worldwide. A figure announced by Capcom, which specifies that the milestone was reached on January 3 precisely.
The latest installment of the franchise Street Fighter therefore only needed 7 months to pass the mark of 3 million copies sold. A real performance when we know that its predecessor took almost three years to sell so many. For his part, Street Fighter 4 had taken more than a year before selling the same number of copies.
The franchise now has more than 52 million copies sold around the world. A success that brings it closer to its main competitors of the genre, namely Tekken which totals nearly 55 million sales and Mortal Kombat
still a long way away with its 80 million sales.
I have to say that Street Fighter 6 don’t skimp on resources. Let us remember that the game has already benefited from two additional fighters, Rashid and AKI, as well as several collaborations with the Ninja Turtles and Spy x Family. And it’s a safe bet that the title intends to continue its momentum.
