Alstom: opens a new maintenance center in Romania – 04/24/2024 at 12:20


(CercleFinance.com) – Alstom announced yesterday that it had completed the construction of

‘Alstom Grivita Depot’ in Bucharest (Romania), a new facility dedicated to the maintenance and testing of electric trains and locomotives.

The site is also hosting the first of 37 interregional Coradia Stream EMU trains in order to pass the mandatory tests before certification.

Alstom has launched an active recruitment campaign for this new maintenance center: around fifty employees are expected to join the project and undergo specialized training.

‘This new deposit underlines Alstom’s lasting commitment to the Romanian market and marks an important milestone as we celebrate our 30th anniversary in the country this year,’ commented Gabriel Stanciu, Alstom General Manager for Romania, the Bulgaria and Moldova.
