Alstom: will supply 24 tram trains to Lille

(CercleFinance.com) – Alstom reports that it has been chosen to supply the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) with the new tram trains for Line R and Line T of the Lille network.

A first order will include 24 Citadis trainsets, to which 6 additional trainsets could be added.
The first deliveries will take place at the beginning of 2026 with entry into service planned for mid-2026.

Referring to ‘a concentration of innovations serving the well-being of passengers’, Astom highlights the air conditioning of the trains, the dynamic passenger information system and the video protection system.

In addition, these trams are energy efficient, thanks to new motorization, efficient management of climatic comfort and 100% LED lighting. These trams are eco-designed, 95% recyclable and 99% reusable, concludes Alstom.
