(CercleFinance.com) – Altice Europe announces that Loiret Fiber (a subsidiary of XpFibre) is continuing work to deploy fiber optics in the Loire region and announces that all households in the municipality of Lombreuil (162 sockets) will be eligible to the fiber by next January 8.
In March 2020, a public service delegation, Lysséo 2, was concluded between the Department of Loiret and Loiret Fibre, (subsidiary of XpFibre) to gradually generalize access to very high speed for Loiret residents, with a fiber objective for all in the spring of 2023.
With Lysséo 2, more than 121,000 additional sockets will be deployed in 262 municipalities by March 2023. The total investment carried by XpFibre, necessary for the deployment of this network, is 231 million euros, without public contribution.
To date, more than 171,200 sockets are already connected in 250 municipalities, indicates Altice.
