Amal Clooney makes a rare and touching statement to her husband, George Clooney

Celebrating the impact women have on the world. Such was the desire of the American magazine Time, which is devoting its next issue, to be published on March 14, to women of the year. Among them is Amal Clooney. Interviewed by journalist Maria Ressawho was one of her clients, the famous human rights lawyer spoke about her fight for women’s rights led through the Clooney Foundation, her role as an adviser to the International Criminal Court for the Sudan or even the vagaries of fame, to which she has obviously been entitled since her union with actor George Clooney in 2014. I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life and to be a mother – that’s how I get my footing“, she underlined in the columns of the Time.

Journalist Maria Ressa also asked Amal Clooney that the media often took a sexist interest in her style of dress or her marriage to George Clooney before delving more into what she had to say, including about the fights she defends. “I think all I can do is try to shine the spotlight on what’s important“, explained Amal Clooney. Grateful not to be able”control“that kind of media coverage, she later admitted, “My approach is just not to dwell on it and to continue my work and my life hoping that mentalities change“. Above all, the Lebanese-British lawyer has the feeling that he exists “a female solidarity that has grown on these issues where other women are going to kind of speak out against these methods in a way that maybe wouldn’t have happened five or ten years ago“.
