Alongside its high-end GTR 3 Pro, Zepp Z or T-Rex Pro watches, Amazfit also offers a range of smartwatches at much more affordable prices with its Amazfit Bip. Three years after the release of the latest model, the Amazfit Bip 2, the Chinese manufacturer has just presented its new generation, the Amazfit Bip 3.

As reported by the GSM Arena site, Amazfit has just announced its new Bip 3 connected watch in Brazil, where the smartwatch is already available for sale on Amazon. Like the previous generations of Amazfit Bip, the watch is distinguished by a particularly affordable price, at 279 Brazilian reals, or 54.50 euros. Above all, for this price, the toquante offers a more than interesting technical sheet.

While we are entitled to a watch offered at the price of a simple connected bracelet, we would expect to have only a simple step tracker with a screen and heart rate monitoring. Nay.

The Amazfit Bip 3 not only counts the number of steps. It is indeed equipped with continuous heart rate monitoring. The watch can also warn if your pulse is too high and has an SpO2 blood oxygen saturation sensor. It also includes sleep phase monitoring as well as several well-being features such as stress monitoring, breathing exercises and menstrual cycle monitoring.

Regarding the design, we are entitled here to a watch with a square TFT LCD screen of 1.69 inches diagonally with a density of 237 pixels per inch. The watch also has a single button on the right side. More than 50 dials are offered on the Bip 3, two of which are customizable. It should also be noted that the toquante is 5 ATM certified and can therefore be used for shallow swimming in addition to 60 other activities. On the autonomy side, Amazfit announces up to 11 days of autonomy.

Schrödinger’s GPS

It should be noted however that, if the Amazfit Bip 3 is already available on Amazon Brazil – with deliveries scheduled from the beginning of July – it is not yet present on the Brazilian site of the manufacturer. In addition, some elements present seem to correspond to a different name – Amazfit Crater – while others refer to a certain Amazfit Crater Pro. It therefore seems that the publication of the product sheet on Amazon was somewhat rushed. As for the technical characteristics, we do not know if the Bip 3 is the “Crate” or the “Crater Pro”. The Amazon page indeed indicates that the “Crater Pro” has built-in GPS — a feature usually found on high-end watches — while the “Crate” can only take advantage of the GPS of the smartphone.

We should know more about the Amazfit Bip 3 during its proper presentation by the manufacturer. Logically, this should take place in the coming weeks. It remains to be seen whether the smartwatch will also be marketed in France and at what price.
