Amazon.com: Launching a new Fire tablet

(CercleFinance.com) – Amazon announced on Wednesday the launch of the new version of its ‘Fire’ tablet, still well anchored below the Apple iPad with a price of less than 100 dollars.

The new Fire HD 8, with a 30% faster processor and all-day battery life, was specifically designed for entertainment-related apps, the Seattle-based group said in a statement.

The first model, which displays an eight-inch screen, 13 hours of battery life and USB charging, is thus offered at an entry ticket of 99.99 dollars.

The ‘Fire HD 8 Plus’ version, equipped with 3GB RAM, wireless charging and a rear camera, is sold at 119.99 dollars.

But this new range is very clearly focused on children, giving pride of place to the Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD 8 Kids Pro devices, two tablets with enhanced features that offer a free subscription to Amazon Kids+ content, a guarantee of two years and parental controls, for a price of 149.99 dollars.

For the first time in tablet history, the Fire HD 8 Kids will be available in Disney cases featuring Mickey Mouse or Disney Princess designs.

Available for pre-order starting today, the new Fire will ship starting next month.
