(CercleFinance.com) – Amazon announces that the Climate Pledge, which it co-founded with Global Optimism, will launch a partnership with C40 Cities – an association bringing together around a hundred mayors of the largest cities in the world to fight climate change.
Called Laneshift, this partnership aims to ‘fight carbon emissions through zero-emission freight by reinventing medium and heavy goods vehicles and the routes they take’.
The Climate Pledge will therefore commit $10 million to C40 Cities for the development and deployment of zero-emission electric trucks and charging infrastructure in major cities in India and Latin America.
