Amazon: These offers herald the start of the Christmas business – with these deals you save now

The big discount battle of the year is over. Although Black Week at Amazon only ended on Monday, the retailer is already making new offers. It’s no wonder, since Christmas is almost here and it’s never too early to start shopping for presents.

Note that some of the items listed above may be temporarily out of stock. The particularly cheap bargains are always very popular. So if you see a deal that interests you, don’t hesitate too long.

This is how we determined the comparative prices

For our price comparison, we consult the price search engine geizhals.de. On the one hand, we compare the offer with the manufacturer’s recommended retail price (RRP), which usually reflects the costs at market launch. On the other hand, of course, we look at how much other, reputable, online retailers charge for a product.

This is usually the more interesting comparison, since the RRP usually differs significantly from the current street price. When comparing with other dealers, we only consider well-known and reputable dealers with appropriate ratings and a company headquarters in Germany. We usually leave out smaller eBay or Amazon Marketplace sellers in our price comparison.

Lightning deals and last minute deals

In addition to the daily offers (last minute offers), there are also so-called lightning offers on Amazon. These are only valid for a few hours and the number of discounted products is also limited. New lightning deals are activated every 15 or 30 minutes throughout the day.

On promotional days such as Black Friday or Cyber ​​Monday, however, there can also be new flash offers every five minutes. If you like a product, you put it in your virtual shopping cart. After that you only have 15 minutes to pay at the cash register.

For non-Prime members, purchases under 29 euros will incur shipping costs when ordering from Amazon. Prime customers only have to pay for express delivery. These fees apply to you as a non-Prime member:

Returns and Exchanges

Your right of return or cancellation is 30 days at Amazon. There are also exceptions here at the Marketplace. Depending on the seller, you may only have 14 days to return an item.

Tip: Always process the return via the Amazon website. For many products you will receive a return slip and can send the goods back free of charge.

As is usual in online retail, there is no general right to exchange for an identical product (e.g. clothing in a different size). For some goods you can select “replace” when returning. In most cases, however, only a return is possible.

Amazon trade in

Amazon recently launched a new trade-in program for TV sets. You can exchange your old Fire TV for a new one at the mail order company. To do this, the value is first determined based on the specified status. You will then receive an Amazon voucher for the determined device value and a 20 percent discount on a new Fire TV device.

Finance purchases – these possibilities exist

Many products such as large kitchen appliances, televisions or notebooks are not exactly cheap. Not everyone can afford these devices with a one-off payment. If you still want to fulfill a long-cherished wish or are dependent on a quick new purchase, financing is an option in this case.

Amazon is more difficult in this regard than other retailers. On the one hand, the Amazon credit card gives you the opportunity to finance expensive products using monthly installments. Here, however, high interest rates of almost 15 percent are incurred.

On the other hand, the mail order company offers a partial payment option for some products. Here you can pay for goods in five monthly payments and this without interest. However, the availability of the 5-month financing is very limited. This is usually offered on Amazon’s own products. You can also find some of them at other retailers on the platform.
