Most recently, she made headlines mainly because of her defeat in court. Now Amber Heard is back as an actress.
Amber Heard (37) is back. The actress wore a beaming smile as she performed at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy. It’s her first big event since losing in the defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp (60). In Sicily she presented her new film “In the Fire”.
Heard reportedly looked happy and celebrated with friends, co-stars and crew members of the thriller. The film was completed months before her trial began in April 2022. “It’s a beautiful film about the almost supernatural effect and power of love”, the actress gushed to People at the film festival. She added, “It’s about the limits that love can transcend and how it’s created, and the really overwhelming power that love has.”
Amber Heard moved to Spain with her two-year-old daughter after the Johnny Depp trial. In Italy, she showed herself in an elegant outfit when she returned to the public. She presented a black pleated dress with sheer sleeves. She combined it with a subtle belt and platform sandals. Her blonde hair fell in curls from a side parting over her shoulders.
‘In the Fire’ is what Amber Heard’s new film is about
“In the Fire” is set in 1899. Amber Heard plays an American psychiatrist who is called to a farm in Colombia. There she is supposed to treat a boy. He is accused of being possessed by the devil and of being responsible for all the negative happenings in the village. The doctor clashes with a priest and a battle ensues between science and religion.
According to Deadline, Amber Heards marks new movie starting a comeback. She wants to focus on her acting career again after the trial.
It was recently announced that Amber Heard paid Johnny Depp the million dollars agreed in court. In April and May 2022, Heard and her ex-husband faced each other in court. The Hollywood star had sued her for defamation. The jury found Depp correct on most of the charges. In December 2022, the two ex-spouses finally agreed on a settlement. Heard agreed to pay her ex-husband $1 million. He donated the money to various charities.
The next premiere of a film by Amber Heard is scheduled for the end of this year. The blockbuster sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom launches in December. It is not yet known whether Heard will promote the film. In the process, she claimed that her role had been massively cut.
