He explains that he asked a Gen-2, Runway’s AI that allows you to create videos from scratch, to generate a trailer for an imaginary film taking place in Heidi’s universe.
For those who do not know this classic of Swiss literature, Heidi tells the story of a little orphan who goes to live with her grandfather in the middle of the mountains. The saga has already been adapted many times in films and cartoons, but this time it is a live action version that Karpi wanted to imagine. The tone is set from the first seconds. We see a young girl laughing out loud, a pretty cute image if her face weren’t deformed like an unreassuring shapeshifter.
