A man in the midst of a domestic dispute was so angry that he attacked his pet.
The surprise was great for the Miami police who, at the end of January 2023, were called in the early morning because of the alert from neighbors who had heard a violent argument between a man and a woman. After arriving around 5:20 a.m., the police heard the couple’s cries and tried to signal their presence. In response and according to Law&Crime, the woman just yelled at them to break down the door to force their way home. They then found themselves face to face with Kevin Justin Mayorga, a young man of 32 years in full fit of anger of inconceivable violence.
Surprised to see the police arrive at his home, the man tried to flee despite the warnings of the police. He still managed to be caught and subdued by the police after multiple efforts since he tried to going after those who were trying to arrest him, going so far as to injure one of the policemen. The report quoted by Law&Crime also specifies that a taser was used on Kevin Justin Mayorga but that he simply had “no effect”. After successfully subduing the suspect, law enforcement was able to discover the damage of the domestic dispute which they interrupted.

The young woman present explained to them that the man, mad with anger, grabbed his python and ripped his head off with his teeth. The 1m50 snake was actually found decapitated, which earned Kevin Justin Mayorga a charge of animal cruelty with intent to kill, forcible confinement and violent resistance to a police officer. The suspect was taken into custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $15,000 bond.
