The Prix de la Closerie des Lilas celebrated its eighteenth anniversary this Thursday, April 25. Established in 2007, this award aims to “support and promote quality women’s literature” and is awarded by a jury partially renewed each year. After honoring Yasmine Ghata April 2023 for her novel The Prophet’s Testament, Arièle Butaux, aged 60, was rewarded this year. His latest work, entitled The Craterwon over the jury thanks to his “density and delicacy”, addressing with finesse themes such as family, disability and childhood, all “without any tearful crater”as highlighted by Claire Chazal, president of the jury.

During the ceremony, Claire Chazal also met other notable personalities such as Anne Nivat and Helena Noguerra. The latter, a Franco-Belgian singer and actress, was also part of the jury, composed among others of Bérénice Bejo, Claire Berest, Anne Goscinny, Leïla Kaddour, Catherine Meurisse. Other figures such as the journalist Julian Bugier, the actress Josiane Balasko and the former war reporter Anne Nivat were also present. The participants were also able to take part in a collective photo session where they showed great complicity.

But if Anne Nivat was present at the event, she was not accompanied by her husband, Jean-Jacques Bourdin. A couple for many years, the two journalists met in 2004, when the former war reporter, who was still living in Russia, was traveling in France to promote her book Aftermath of war. His press officer then advised him to appear on the Jean-Jacques Bourdin show broadcast on RMC. “I didn’t know who it was.”Anne Nivat then admitted in the show Hello earthlingsbroadcast on Canal+ in October 2017.He hugged me, she continued, speaking of her future husband. To which Jean-Jacques Bourdin added: “I asked him for his phone number, but it’s nothing original.”
