An association of EDF employee shareholders announces a complaint against the State


PARIS, July 17 (Reuters) – An association of salaried and former salaried shareholders of EDF announced on Sunday in a press release its intention to “introduce a criminal complaint with civil action” against the State for “putting in difficulty of the business.”

The Energie en actions association, which says its purpose is to “defend the interests of employees and former employee shareholders of EDF”, denounces “the company’s difficulties in contempt of its social interest and the interests of its minority shareholders, as a result of reckless and dispossessing decisions.”

“Today the State must render accounts on the management exercised as an ultra-majority shareholder of the company, management which has the consequence of seriously despoiling very many investors”, can we read in this press release.

announced on Wednesday that it had requested the suspension of the listing of its shares until further notice following announcements by the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, on a renationalisation of the company.

The State will specify its intentions concerning the capital of the energy company no later than Tuesday, July 19, said Bercy.
