“An awards ceremony”: season 3 of Validé is looking for extras

Will there be a season 3 for “Validated”? The answer is positive for Franck Gastambide. While he is finishing “La Cage” on MMA for Netflix, the director is already working on new episodes of his CANAL+ series.

After season 2, broadcast in October 2021, fans were impatiently waiting to know if Validé would continue and were starting to lose hope… We now have the answer: rejoice, Franck Gastambide’s flagship series will return for a season 3 which would already be in preparation!

Launched in 2020, the original Canal+ creation has since become a real phenomenon – and one of the channel’s most watched and popular series. During the promotion of season 2, Franck Gastambide had however announced a break, not wishing to rush into the production of a new season.

For now, the decision I made is to take a break from Validé. I don’t want to get into a planning obligation, into a kind of broadcast dictatorship where you absolutely have to provide, because that’s how you’re going to do something bad.

I feel like we achieved something good and it would be a shame to waste it. I spent three years of my life on Validé. I discovered what it’s like to work on a series. It’s very vampiric”, he declared to our microphone in September 2021.

The door, however, remained open: “I’m keeping an eye on the rap game and anything that could fuel my imagination for a third season, so there’s no reason why there shouldn’t be one. But for now we’re taking a break to come back with something strong, eventful and above all not disappointing.”, he concluded.

Casting in progress

Although we do not yet know the release date for this long-awaited third chapter, it seems that filming is planned for this spring. Franck Gastambidestill at the helm, is in fact currently looking for new extras for the continuation of his series taking place in the rap world.

Casting of extras aged 18 to 50 for season 3 of the series Validé directed by Franck Gastambide. The production is particularly looking for representation of women and men aged 18 and over.”, we can read in an announcement published on various casting sites.

For the filming of this scene, scheduled for April 29 in Paris, the announcement specifies: “It’s about featuring guests at an awards ceremony in the world of rap: artists, managers, artistic directors, stylish people from the urban music world. Outfit with streetwear DNA but very crafted. Colors, patterns, visible logos, oversize. Extravagant looks welcome!”You get the idea.

As for the main cast, a few names seem to have already been confirmed: Brahim Bouhlel, Saidou Camara, Saïd Taghmaoui and Sabrina Ouazani will be there, according to Télé Loisirs. It remains to be seen who the guest rappers will be in this third part.

As a reminder, season 1 focused on Clément (Hatik), a young talented rapper, supported by his two childhood friends, who found himself overnight “validated” by one of the stars in the industry before this alliance quickly turns into a dangerous rivalry… The end of the season, rather tragic, also had an alternative ending which had also been filmed, as Frank Gastambide explained to us in 2021.

Season 2, for its part, gave pride of place to Sara, a young rapper played by Lætitia Kerfa.

While waiting to be able to discover these new episodes to come, the first two seasons of Validé can be seen again exclusively on Canal+.
