A July 2000 clip from the talk show “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” has gone viral on social media (via Variety). In it, the eponymous host jokes with Harrison Ford and imagines the actor playing Indiana Jones at the age of 80. However, this is the case today: Harrison Fordabout to turn 81, is currently playing Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
“People will never get tired of this kind [de films], O’Brien told Ford at the time. “When you’re 80, you can just do [films] where they bring you the treasures.”
In the clip, we can see Harrison Ford burst out laughing, while Conan O’Brien adds that an Indiana Jones movie starring him at the age of 80 could be called “Indiana Jones and the Comfy Bed”.

HARRISON FORD DIDN’T SAY HIS LAST WORD
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the last film in the saga with Harrison Ford in the shoes of the emblematic adventurous archaeologist. If he is done playing Indiana, the actor does not intend to retire anytime soon, as he said recently. He just joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Brave New World, which recently wrapped production in Atlanta. He will also be seen in Apple TV+’s upcoming comedy, Shrinking, as well as the second season of Paramount+’s drama, 1923, once the writers’ strike ends.
When asked last month if he plans to retire, the comedian said no, as he doesn’t do very well when he doesn’t have a job.

For the anecdote, the promotional tour of the Dial of Destiny drove Harrison Ford And Conan O’Brien to meet on the latter’s podcast, “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend”. Their discussion also went viral after Ford mocked the host who had a note next to him, reminding him that the actor played Han Solo in Star Wars.
“Can’t you remember that?Ford then asked O’Brien.
“No I can not. I don’t remember Han Solo“, joked the latter. “I wrote it because I heard you were in some of the Star Wars movies and that was news to me because I saw those movies and I don’t think you stood out.”
