Vacances Sans Masque is a solidarity operation which attempts to offer holidays to all those who take risks during this period of health crisis. A call for contributions has been launched.

What if we gave the heroes of this health crisis some rest? Didier Aldebert, Mayor of the commune of Vinassan in Aude, has embarked on a united action that could well facilitate the rest time of white coats, firefighters, police, but also cashiers, delivery men and drivers … What trades exposed to the daily coronavirus pandemic but still serving millions of French people. This initiative is called Vacances Sans Masque: it is a platform that invites people with second homes to make them available for our heroes of the Covid-19. Thus, Didier Alderbert encourages to offer free accommodation for the rest of the bravest.

The Vacances Sans Masque site collects offers from owners and will then put them in touch with caregivers, cashiers, drivers and firefighters who worked hard during the crisis. The Mayor of Vinassan explains, in a press release, how this idea came to his mind: "At the start of this Covid 19 crisis, the citizen that I am, was, like many others, very touched and amazed by the unfailing commitment of all those directly or indirectly linked to the patients of this crisis So I asked myself the question: how to thank them? How to thank those who save our lives today or who make it easier for us? Being the owner of a tourist residence, rented for a few weeks in summer, the link was very fast and the idea of Vacances Sans Masque was born "

In addition to this outpouring of generosity towards the heroes who fight against the coronavirus and for our security, this platform could also be a precious help to revive the tourist economy of the country.
