An international version of “Mask Singer” should be broadcast in France

The TF1 show “Mask Singer”, where a jury must guess which stars sing hidden behind costumes, will have an international version. The project, unveiled by our American colleagues from “Variety”, could bring together a large part of the 56 different countries which have declined the program.

It’s a program that could have huge audiences: an international version of Mask Singer is in preparation. That is to say a version with candidates from all over the world, candidates who have already participated in this program where a jury must guess which stars sing hidden behind costumes. There will be a choice in the profiles: entertainment, the French version of which is broadcast on TF1, exists in 56 countries.

What principle for Mask Singer global ?

It’s the American magazine variety which reveals this information and the provisional title of the project: “One world, one Masked Singer“, which could be translated as “One world, one Mask Singer“. This global program would be broadcast in all the countries that already offer the show to their viewers. Behind this initiative, we find the producer of the American version.

The magazine does not specify whether the principle of the show will remain the same. This hypothesis would have a major difficulty: the celebrities of all the local editions would have to be known worldwide. Not sure that French or American viewers are able to unmask Polish, Mexican or Korean stars just by their voices.
