“An intimate ambition”: four political figures will confide in Karine Le Marchand

The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, the president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, the environmentalist deputy Sandrine Rousseau and the national secretary of the Communist Party, Fabien Roussel, will speak to Karine Le Marchand for the program “Une ambition intimate”, back on M6 “in a few months”, announced the host on Thursday.

These four political figures “about whom we are talking more and more in recent years” embody “a possible succession to the highest functions of the State”, explains the famous presenter on Instagram, where she posted a photo of her future guests, accompanied of the show’s logo. “What are their backgrounds, their true personality, and their inner ambition?” she asks. “Thank you to them for trusting me, you will discover their portraits in a few months. For the moment: we are working!”, concludes Karine Le Marchand.

2.2 million viewers on average

Highly criticized when it was launched in 2016, “An Intimate Ambition” questions politicians in a confidential manner, in their daily lives, focusing more on emotion than on the debate of ideas. As the 2017 presidential election approached, Nicolas Sarkozy, Arnaud Montebourg, Bruno Le Maire, Marine Le Pen, Alain Juppé, François Bayrou, François Fillon and Jean-Luc Mélenchon took part in the game, recounting the birth of their ambition political or revealing difficult moments in their lives.

After a break in 2018 and 2019, where the show hosted celebrities, Karine Le Marchand interviewed Marine Le Pen again in 2021, as well as Valérie Pécresse, Rachida Dati, Anne Hidalgo and Marlène Schiappa. This latest edition attracted nearly 2.2 million viewers on average in November 2021.
