An LREM deputy “victim of a malicious act”: fires and tags on his property

A deputy from La République en Marche was the target of a malicious act on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, in the Oise. His vehicle was burnt and tags referring to the future vote on the vaccination pass were inscribed on his property.

Pascal Blois, deputy for the Republic on the march in the Oise, was awakened in a disaster during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday by the firefighters while he was sleeping at his home, located in Chambly, as recounted The Parisian, this Wednesday, December 29. The firefighters, alerted by a neighbor of the parliamentarian, were intervening on L’fire from his car, parked in the garage of his property. “They knocked on the door to let us know that they were undergoing an intervention, says the parliamentarian. The time to put on a coat and I went to see the damage “, he explains in the columns of the daily.

When he arrived, the fire had already been extinguished. His vehicle, a Peugeot 508 as well as the frame of his garage were partly burnt. According to the first observations, this would be a deliberate act. From tags have, in fact, been inscribed on the walls of his property: “Vote no” was written in black and “It’s going to be crazy” in red. “I no longer had any doubts that I was the victim of a malicious act“, ensures Pascal Blois. And to add: “This kind of bullying act is totally counterproductive, assures Pascal Bois. Even people who were not vaccinated or who were not convinced by vaccination gave me their support. They find that cowardly and abject. Me, I find that inadmissible in relation to democracy. You can be diehard, defend ideas, but not that way, especially when, at the same time, these same people compare government policy to a dictatorship. “

The deputy had already received a letter with a bullet

This is not the first time that the member for Oise has been the victim of intimidation attempts, as recalled The Parisian. Last November, he received, like six other elected officials who were in favor of the vaccination pass, a letter with a bullet. After this malicious act, the deputy LREM decided to lodge a complaint. The Amiens research section is in charge of the investigation. “A priori, the perpetrators were at least two and it was while passing a flaming tire over my automatic gate that they set fire to my vehicle “, specifies the one who has received many messages of support from other elected officials but also fromEmmanuel Macron and of Jean Castex.
