Less ambitious than NVIDIA, AMD would still have a new Graphic card without his bag for the start of 2024.

Mentioned for the first time at the end of summer 2023, the Radeon RX 7600 XT no longer seems to be in doubt, even if we are still waiting for AMD to make the official announcement.

According to the latest news, however, there is talk of a staggered exit between China and the rest of the world. A staggered outing, but once is not customary, to the advantage of the rest of the world. Odd…

A delay only in China

The information published by our colleagues at VideoCardz is obviously not official since even the Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card has not been confirmed by AMD.

However, the elements put forward make this rumor very credible. Scheduled for the end of January in most regions of the world, the Radeon RX 7600 XT would see its release postponed in China. It is not a question of cancellation, but of a delay, the extent of which we do not know. Days ? Weeks? Month ?

The most “fun” part of this story is why AMD would have the idea of making this shift. A reason that can be summed up in a few words: Radeon RX 6750 GRE.

Too expensive compared to the RX 6750 GRE?

This card template was designed for the Chinese market. It is therefore not surprising that it is almost impossible to find in France and, more generally, throughout Europe.

The Radeon RX 6750 GRE comes in two versions with 10 or 12 GB of video memory for prices between $269 and $289. It is certainly only in RDNA 2, but could offer fierce competition to the Radeon RX 7600 XT whose price positioning, still uncertain, would be around 300 dollars.

For a majority of players not necessarily focused on the mid/high range, the Radeon RX 6750 GRE would then offer a more attractive quality/price ratio and AMD fears of cannibalizing the sales of its new addition.
