An update to YouTube to differentiate between different types of videos in dedicated tabs

The YouTube video platform will finally differentiate the different formats on the channels of content creators. Whereas previously all videos were listed under the same “Videos” tab, thus mixing Shorts and classic videos in one feed, with this new update, each category will have its tab. The videographers’ channels will then be better organized and will no longer force viewers to rummage through this mix of content.

We’ve found that this will make it easier for viewers to discover the types of content they’re most interested in when exploring a creator’s channel page, so we’re happy to pass it on to you!reads the post announcing the change on Google Support. In addition to differentiating between Shorts and classic videos, a new tab grouping live replays, but also the current broadcast, will appear. The visual update is going to be deployed starting this Friday, October 28 and should be live for everyone in the coming weeks.
