Singer and influencer Ana Kohler has turned her hobby into a career. “My fans made it possible,” explains the 23-year-old.

“I have a dream and I’m pursuing it,” explains Ana Kohler (23) in an interview. Around 460,000 fans follow her on Instagram, 1.4 million on TikTok. Her fans are the most important thing to her. “You made it possible for me to turn my hobby into a job,” enthuses the native Portuguese, who is also a successful singer. Now the 23-year-old joins a ranks with stars like Dua Lipa, Cara Delevingne, Winnie Harlow and Pamela Reif: she is the new face of Puma in 2022. With the first campaign “She Moves Us” she wants to encourage women to believe in themselves. “Women are my biggest inspiration,” said the social media star.

Which women have inspired you in your life, do you have role models?

Ana Kohler: Musically and personally, Madison Beer is an inspiration to me. I’ve been following her career for what feels like an eternity and it’s so nice to see how she’s developed personally and musically over the past few years. It’s nice to be able to follow everything and celebrate their successes. That’s how I feel about a lot of women! I’m always extremely happy! It’s so great to see how some personalities develop and their dreams come true.

Of course, my mother is the person who has always influenced me. She has shown so much strength with everything she has experienced or been through. And also to make things better for us. She moved to Switzerland for us from Portugal, where I was born. And that’s a really powerful decision to leave everything behind to create a brighter future for yourself and your family.

What do you think characterizes a strong woman?

Kohler: It makes me more and more happy to see how we women support each other to achieve our goals and dreams. For me, that is what makes a strong character and therefore a strong woman. We all have our dreams, hurdles, strengths, weaknesses and supporting others is one of the most important strengths of all!

What would you describe as your greatest strengths?

Kohler: I am very goal oriented and persistent. I have a dream and I’m chasing it. For example, it was always a big goal for me to work with Puma. The fact that after the first campaign with the rapper Eno something so big was created and that I became one of the faces is surreal for me, but also an achievement that I have been working towards.

What significance does sport have in your life?

Kohler: It’s important for me to be fit. I travel a lot and need a lot of energy. It is all the more important to prepare the body for this life every day and to keep it healthy.

How often do you train per week and what is your favorite thing to do?

Kohler: I go to the gym with friends two to three times a week. I am very fortunate to have girlfriends who approach this very professionally and are always at my side with tips.

Summer is coming, what are your top tips and tricks for a bikini body?

Kohler: Every character is a bikini character!

Around 460,000 follow you on Instagram now, how important is the exchange with your fans to you?

Kohler: For me it’s the most important thing of all. They made it possible for me to turn my hobby into a job and to get closer and closer to my goals. Everything started with them. They support me every day and I am very aware of that and I can only be grateful for that.

How do you deal with negative feedback? Do you take nasty comments to heart?

Kohler: When I first started using social media, these comments really got to me, but I’ve now learned to skillfully ignore them. I’m very open to criticism though, there’s a difference between criticism and unnecessary negative comments that try to put you down.

What advice would you give to young people who want to become influencers?

KohlerAlways be yourself. One should not change and chase after the clicks. It is always important to do what is right for you in terms of content. There are a lot of people who can identify with it and also draw strength from learning from you. It has become more and more interesting for people in recent years and it is all the more important to stay true to yourself and perceive the pressure positively in order to develop further.

Will there be any new music from you this year, what are your plans?

Kohler: Definitely. Since I’m Portuguese, which many people don’t know, I’ll orient myself musically more towards my origins. I love the vibe in Portugal. I mean who doesn’t love the sun and sand? It’s all the nicer to be able to transport this through the music.
