After the launch of “Andor” was initially delayed by a few weeks to avoid the crossfire at the start of the series flagships “House of the Dragon” and “The Rings of Power”, it’s finally happening: Released on September 21st Disney + three episodes of its new “Star Wars” series at once.

The 12 episodes of the first season of “Andor” tell of the very early days of the rebellion against the Galactic Empire – and follow the eponymous later hero and martyr Cassian Andor. The latter is played by Narcos: Mexico star Diego Luna, as in the standalone film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

A reunion with rebel icons Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) and Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) is already guaranteed – and there are already rumors of a guest appearance by Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. In addition, acting legend Stellan Skarsgard (“Dune”) and the international German star Clemens Schick (“Das Boot”, season 2) can be seen in “Andor”.
