André Dussollier, who can be found this Monday evening on France 3 in the comedy “Adopte a widower”, grew up in a town in Haute-Savoie, close to a famous and charming lake. He still goes there very regularly.

In Haute-Savoie, and more precisely in Leschaux, André Dussollier – who is the poster for the film Adopt a widower broadcast this Monday February 12, 2024 at 9:10 p.m. on France 3 – has its family roots. But it is to Sevrier, town which overlooks the famous Lake Annecy, the city where he was born, that this brilliant actor owns a house. It was his parents who had this house built, modest indeed, but with an extraordinary view. It was there that his father’s funeral took place in 2010 as well as his burial.

As our RTL colleagues explained in 2017, André Dussollier had difficulty getting used to Paris. It is therefore important for him to return regularly to Annecy, where he finds the mountains and nature: “It’s a bond formed very early, and he needs to find his roots, and the relationship with the people he has always known are different and more ‘real’.“.

André Dussollier, this place he loves

For André Dussollier, Haute-Savoie is the most beautiful region. But let’s remember that he also fell under the spell of the Île de Ré (in the West of France), a place very popular with stars since it is not uncommon to come across Fabrice Luchini, Vincent Lindon, Sandrine Kiberlain or Nathalie Baye there. A place that he discovered long before it became touristy: “I came there with my cousins. For 18 years I have been renting a house“, he confided to our colleagues at Dauphine Libéré in 2011.

Isabelle Adjani’s ex-partner likes to take long walks or bike rides there. It is also there that he often finds his children Léo and Giulia, born in 1988 and 1993 from his previous relationship with Francesca Avossa. Moments out of time, where he can unwind, he who has never stopped being active as a great film and theater actor. He notably has three Césars and a Molière to his credit, not to mention the other various awards he has received, such as the Brigadier Prize in 2017, honoring his entire career.
