Some users of the Google Duo video calling application encounter a major audio bug when communicating under Android 12. The web giant is already working on resolving the problem.

Android 12 has been gradually deployed on the most recent smartphones since the fall of 2021. The Google Pixels were of course the first to receive this eagerly awaited update. However, the Mountain View firm regularly faces bugs and other inconveniences, especially in terms of application compatibility. Some may indeed encounter some operational problems, even if they are apps developed by Google. This is apparently the case with Google Duo, the video calling application made in Google.
An audio bug during calls on Google Duo
On some devices running Android 12, the Google Duo app would therefore have some bugs in use. When answering calls, a few users would simply not receive the sound, thus being unable to hear the other party. Google apparently takes the issue seriously, as a community manager at the company posted a post about it on the support forum:
We have discovered that users of Android 12 devices sometimes do not hear audio when answering a Duo call from an incoming call notification. We are working on a fix, but in the meantime, an alternative solution is to reiterate the call, but opening your Duo app so that you can answer the call from the app rather than through the notification alert.
This audio bug seems rather rare, however, since few complaints have been recorded on the various official forums. Google will continue to actively work on its Duo application, despite the rumor that the company was planning to abandon Duo in favor of Meet. The video call application has received a Material You design, support for dynamic colors and a redesign of the home screen.
