Good news: if some of you were impatiently waiting for it, know that the One UI 4.1.1 interface is about to invest the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7+ tablets.

At the very beginning of the month, we told you that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 became compatible with Android 12L. Now it’s the Galaxy Tab S7’s turn to join the party (but not only).

Galaxy Tab 7 now compatible with Android 12L

It’s a drip (but relatively quick) launch for One UI 4.1.1 on the Samsung device side. Indeed, after having first been deployed on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, then on the Galaxy Tab S8 then, the software update is now coming to the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+, to the delight of its users. users and users.

The new features brought by this update obviously remain the same as for the Galaxy Tab S8, namely the addition of a taskbar, the possibility of pinning frequently used applications or new gestures designed for multitasking use. We also find in the program of this update the ability for your tablet to perform and filter searches from the “My Files” application, and to extract text from any image, which can then be translated into different languages. .

For owners of a Galaxy Tab 7, make sure you have the T870XXU2CVH3 firmware. As for owners of the S7+ model, it is the T970XXU2CVH3 firmware that you will need to have installed beforehand in order to benefit from the many additions planned with this One UI 4.1.1 update. But that’s not all. Do you want more ?

The Galaxy Fold 3 also joins the party

As we learned yesterday that Samsung was rolling out new features for its folding smartphones and connected watches, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 tells us a little more about the new features it will offer its happy owners.

First of all, this new version is called F926NKSU1DVH9. Although the deployment first started in South Korea, the firmware is currently on its way to France. Anyway, here is a list of the main features added to the Galaxy Z Fold 3, in addition to those previously mentioned for the Galaxy Tab S7 and S8:

  • Integration of application names in the Edge panel of the device;
  • Flex mode, which adjusts the display of the screen according to the positioning of the device, now allows you to use half of the screen as a touchpad to control applications;
  • Possibility of using half of the screen as a viewfinder in order to see the images captured on the other half;

  • the use of the rear cameras is now intended to be simplified for taking selfies.

As we mentioned recently, Samsung is determined to make Android 12L compatible with as many devices as possible as quickly as possible. So, if you have an Android smartphone or tablet that hasn’t benefited from it yet, your patience could soon be rewarded.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE

  • 12.4 inch wide screen
  • Neat design
  • 5G option for cellular versions

It is very complicated to know who this new touch pad from Samsung is for. Advanced users might not find their way around, as there are so many concessions to lower the rating. The screen is not at the level of its competitors, even if it is rather good for everyday uses. The performance is in line and responds more to content consumption needs than to production.

As for the general public, if the 12.4-inch screen is an undeniable asset for watching films or series wherever you are, and the interface offered by Samsung is very intuitive on a daily basis, the asking price is in our opinion excessive, especially compared to a Xiaomi Pad 5, more powerful and much more affordable, or even to an iPad Air, slightly more expensive, but devilishly stronger for professional tasks. So, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is by no means a bad product, it’s just too expensive for what it is in the face of fierce competition.
