A bug with Google Voice Services on Android may cause a notification to be consistently sent that cannot be gotten rid of. We offer two solutions to solve the problem.
Some Android smartphones keep looping a very annoying notification that is difficult to remove from the process Speech Services by Google. It reads the message ” Waiting for connection even if the mobile is connected to the mobile network or to a Wi-Fi network.
Change automatic update settings
If you are affected by this problem, which is related to a function of transcription in writing of voice commands, know that there is a solution to get rid of the famous notification. Here are the steps to follow:
- Enter the Google app, tap your profile picture to access the menu, then select Settings ;
- Choose menu Voice and press the option Offline Speech Recognition ;
- Go to the last tab, Auto updateand select Update language packs automatically at any time. Data charges may apply ;
- Go back to the first tab, Installedand choose French France) or the language that causes the bug on your terminal, then press To download.
Restart your smartphone, and you should no longer be bothered with this annoying notification. Remember to go back to the settings to switch back to updating via Wi-Fi only if you do not want to consume your mobile data with a future automatic update.
Google voice services: how to clean the cache
Another slightly less restrictive solution, but which does not seem to work every time, can be tried.
- Go to the Settings mobile;
- Select Appsthen enable the option Show all apps to bring up Google voice services. Press it;
- In Storagechoose Erase datathen Empty the cache.
