There are emotional recordings: The former confidant of the late Queen, Angela Kelly, vacates her house on the Windsor Estate. There has previously been speculation as to whether King Charles would kick out the stylist, but he has secured her future.

Would Queen Elizabeth, † 96, want that? The woman who has been her loyal stylist and right-hand man for over 30 years, but also a good friend and confidante, has had to leave her home in Windsor. This was confirmed by Angela Kelly, 65, in early May 2023 on her Instagram account. Now recordings of their emotional farewell and departure have surfaced.

Queen’s stylist reveals: ‘My work phone has been switched off’

“I’m getting ready to say goodbye. I’m moving to my new home that I can finally call home,” Kelly wrote for a shot of her garden. She shared more details with a friend in the comments: “I’m moving to the Peak District, a little further away from Sheffield so not too far from family. My work phone has been switched off but I hope you have this… Me looking forward to my new adventures.”

Was Angela Kelly a victim of King Charles’ ‘real estate carousel’?

Though she ended her message with a laughing emoji, her statement that her work phone was “turned off” caught the eye. Is King Charles, 74, responsible for this and has the stylist also been thrown out of her apartment? In royal circles, it was actually expected that Angela Kelly would receive permanent residence after her decades of service to the late monarch. Friends of Kelly now believe that after so many years of loyal and self-sacrificing service, she is being mistreated and has become another victim of the king’s “property carousel,” Britain’s Daily Mail reported.

One commented on Kelly’s post, saying, “Our lovely late Queen loved you. That’s all that matters. She wouldn’t be happy about that. Good luck with the move,” while another added, “Sending you the very best Wishes on your move. I read about it in the mail. How awful, but that’s not surprising given how certain people have behaved over the years. Best of luck to you Angela.”

“The claim that the king is heartless is completely unfounded”

But the first speculations about an alleged sacking by the king seem to be wrong, as the “Mail on Sunday” writes a few days after Kelly’s ambiguous Instagram post. “The claim that the king is heartless is completely unfounded. His Majesty never wanted anyone to become homeless, especially someone who was so loyal,” a source revealed.

Kelly’s departure – a farewell forever

He confirmed the monarch had given his mother’s right-hand man a house near Guiseley in Yorkshire, where Kelly could now live until the end of her life.

And this is exactly the house Kelly is moving into. Cardboard boxes are in front of her property on the Windsor Estate, a moving company has arrived with a truck, several men are carrying furniture, pictures and vases out of the house. The move is in full swing.

The late Queen’s confidant waves to the photographers, but she looks tense, sad, running a hand through her hair while exhaling laboredly. It’s a goodbye forever, a goodbye that shouldn’t be easy for Angela Kelly.
