A letter bomb exploded in the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid on Wednesday. The terror does not stop: diplomatic missions of the war-torn country receive disturbing packages with “animal tissue” in several states.

Several embassies and consulates of Ukraine in the EU have received packages with animal eyes. The “bloody” packages were sent to the Ukrainian embassies in Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Austria and the Netherlands, as well as to the consulates general in Naples and Kraków and the consulate in Brno, Czech Republic, according to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko, announced in Kyiv.

“We have reason to believe that a well-planned campaign of terror and intimidation against Ukrainian embassies and consulates is underway,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Kyiv called on all governments to “guarantee” the protection of Ukraine’s diplomatic missions abroad.

Czech police said on Twitter that the package sent to the Ukrainian consulate in Brno contained “animal tissue”. She announced a “thorough investigation”. According to their own statements, the police in Warsaw were informed about a package in the Ukrainian embassy on Thursday. Police spokesman Sylwester Marczak declined to comment on the contents of the package. But there is no danger.

A police car was parked near the Ukrainian embassy in The Hague in the afternoon, a reporter from the AFP news agency reported. An embassy official declined to comment. A spokesman for the Spanish police confirmed that a “suspicious” package had also been sent to the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid, but did not say what it contained.

In Spain, a letter bomb exploded in the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid on Wednesday, slightly injuring a member of the security service. According to police, other suspected explosive devices were sent to Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, the Ministry of Defense, an armaments company, a military base and the US Embassy in Madrid.
