Anna Faris (43) draws a line: After seven years in which she played one of the leading roles in "Mom" as Christy Plunkett, she is breaking new ground. She's leaving the CBS sitcom before season eight begins. The actress announced this on Friday (September 4th) in a statement which, among other things, took up the US portal "Variety".
In it Faris writes: The past few years have been among the most fulfilling and enriching of her career. She said she was so grateful to the writers and producers as well as to her "great fellow actors" for making such a "wonderful work experience" possible.
She's keeping her fingers crossed for her television family
Faris' exit comes as a surprise to fans of the series. According to the report, filming for the new season will start on September 14th. The 43-year-old will not be there. How the departure of her role from the series will be implemented is not yet known. For Faris, the journey as an actress continues. She wants to "pursue new opportunities", but also keep her fingers crossed for her television family.
