The former “Bachelorette” is expecting her second child

Anna Hofbauer and Marc Barthel become parents again. The couple revealed this in an interview.
“Just as big and emotional as the first time” – that’s how Anna Hofbauer’s (33) husband Marc Barthel (32) reacted to the news of becoming a father for the second time. The 33-year-old is even in the fifth month. But only now and in conversation with the magazine “Bunte” have the former “Bachelorette” and the actor officially announced that they will become parents again after their son Leo (2).
According to Hofbauer, she had not considered a special action to tell her husband the good news. She couldn’t have endured it anyway […]To keep this news secret from Marc for just one day.” So she simply showed him the positive pregnancy test while he was playing with his son. Despite the unspectacular environment, an “incredible moment”, the couple recalls.
A dream child at the right time
Both wanted another child and it was also important to both of them that there shouldn’t be too much of a difference in age between their children. When it came to the exact time, Hofbauer simply “trusted fate and everything feels right.”
In contrast to child number one, “the first few months were bad,” said the mother-to-be. She had to struggle with permanent tiredness and nausea. But now “the pregnancy is almost on the side,” says Hofbauer. “I only notice that the stomach grows when the trouser button no longer closes.”
In 2014, Anna Hofbauer took part in the second season of the RTL show “The Bachelorette”. At that time she gave the final rose to candidate Marvin Albrecht, the two were a couple for around three years. In February 2018, she announced her relationship with actor Marc Barthel (“Notruf Hafen Kante”). About a year and a half later, their son was born before they walked down the aisle in December 2020.
