Forensic pathologists announce cause of death

The investigation into Anne Heche’s death has ended. Coroners have announced the official cause of death for the US actress.
Almost a week has passed since US actress Anne Heche (1969-2022) was pronounced dead after a serious car accident on August 12. Her death has now been officially classified as an accident. This is that Report of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner’s Medicine can be taken from the results of which the authority has published online.
The documents also indicate the cause of death. Accordingly, the 53-year-old died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. This is tissue damage after the skin has come into contact with extreme heat or cold. In addition, a fracture of the sternum was diagnosed as a result of blunt trauma.
Fire accident in Los Angeles
The actress died about a week after a serious car accident with her Mini Cooper. She crashed into a building at high speed, which then caught fire, as did her vehicle. She was pronounced brain dead on Friday. From that day on, she was considered deceased in the legal sense. Nevertheless, Heche remained connected to life-sustaining measures and thus kept her cycle going in order to be able to fulfill her wish for organ donation. Only later were the machines shut down.
Heche has acted in numerous Hollywood productions. For example alongside Harrison Ford (80) in the action comedy “Six Days, Seven Nights”, the disaster film “Volcano”, the “Psycho” reissue from 1998 and the series “Ally McBeal”, to name just a few. One of her last engagements was the series “All Rise”.
